Objective: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the proper maintenance and operation of all machinery with the goal of increasing productivity and reducing machine failures.
Essential Functions
1. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
2. Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using appropriate tools.
3. Schedule and perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
Education & Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary certificate in a related field strongly preferred
2. 1-3 years of experience in maintenance, preferred

Work Environment/Physical Demands
1. This position works in a manufacturing setting. This role routinely uses standard maintenance tools, such as hand tools, jacks, cranes, and hoists.
2. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
3. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
5. This position may work with hazardous materials or in areas where hazardous materials exist. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is necessary and specific procedures must be followed to adhere to safety regulations.
