Maintenance Supervisor DeadlineNon-Active LocationClarksville, TN

Objective: The Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, preventive, and predictive maintenance processes and schedules to support the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives. Wastewater Treatment operator, Utility operators, and maintenance technicians will report to this position.   

Employment Type:  Full-Time, Exempt 

Essential Functions 

1. Schedules and trains employees in the maintenance department 

2. Evaluates, installs, operates, or maintains mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements. 

3. Investigates equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions. 

4. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. 

5. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production 

6. Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. 

7. Prioritizes the maintenance and repairs of all company equipment and parts. 

8. Ensures time-efficient repair schedules and reviews and approves all repair cost estimates 

9. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. 

10. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. 

11. Control and monitor all inventory related to the maintenance department. 

12. Implements safety policies and procedures for the department and maintains clean and orderly work areas. 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred 
  • Experience in manufacturing is required

Advanced MS Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and SharePoint; Advanced AutoCAD and statistical analysis tools; ability to learn other systems and programs used by the company

Work Environment/Physical Demands 

· Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.  

· Required to talk and hear. 

· Required to climb, balance, bend, squat, reach, grasp, and hand dexterity. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
